CHAPTER 30

SYNOPSIS

WHEN TROUBLE BEGAN

IN THE BEGINNING, man and woman were created well and strong, healthy, happy, and in fellowship with God.

But Satan, the deceiver, caused Adam and Eve to disobey God and to doubt His word.

They sinned against God and yielded themselves to the authority of Satan to be his slaves forever.

Because of this, they were driven from the garden of Eden, to be forever separated from God's presence.

It was then that disease, pain, and sickness began destroying the health of God's creation, and has done so ever since until Christ, the Son of God, came and bore our sins and our sicknesses and carried them away. He paid the penalty for our disobedience by being beaten and crucified. He endured our sentence of death for us.

Now that Jesus Christ has paid our debt and suffered our penalty, in our place, God has declared us free. Through His blood, we have received remission for sins, and by His stripes we were healed.

OUR LIBERATION

Our salvation, our deliverance, and our redemption from all the works of Satan have been accomplished by Christ for us. When He uttered those words, It is finished, it was like hoisting the flag of the victor over a liberated land where the battle had been fought, where the enemy had been conquered and forced to surrender.

Christ, the captain of our salvation and the author and finisher of our faith, came to this world, defeated our enemy, Satan, stripped him of his authority, carried away our pains and our defeats, and arose from the grave, triumphant over the devil. He declared those triumphant words: It is finished.

Our salvation, our healing, and our deliverance are finished. The flag of victory is unfurled. The bloodstained banner of love and peace has been hoisted and flies as a symbol of Christ's total triumph and complete victory over all the works of the devil which He came to destroy.

Now we are liberated from the hand of the oppressor.

Body, mind and spirit, we are free. Our land is liberated. You are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit. which are God's. [1 Cor 6:20]

Christ, the captain of our salvation, has fought our battle for us and has liberated us from the power and dominion of the enemy.

Now you can say, "I am saved through His blood, and I am healed through His stripes." because redemption is yours forever.

GUERRILLA OPPOSITION -ILLEGAL WARFARE

But why, then, are so many Christians still sick and diseased?

Because, though our property has been liberated from the enemy, though Satan's reign has been destroyed by Christ, though Satan's power over our lives has been taken from him, there remains a host of demons who continue to resist our freedom and resent our victory.

Demon spirits have no legal right to continue oppressing and afflicting believers with disease and infirmity, but they know that thousands of people do not know that Satan has made a surrender and has been defeated.

Thousands of people do not know that Satan's forces have no rights over them at all.
